HOUSE IN SIEMIANOWICE ŚLĄSKIE

architecture     231m2   Siemianowice Śląskie   2021

info
On a small 600-meter plot in Siemianowice Śląskie, investors dreamed of a comfortable house for a family of 4 with a flat roof. Despite the limitations of the plot, it was possible to create a building design with an area of 200 m2. The functional layout on a square-like plan perfectly fit into the nearest existing buildings in the form of cubes. Despite this, the body itself was elongated, giving it a horizontal character through narrow roofs on the ground floor and on the first floor. The building does not resemble a traditional cube, despite its initial dimensions.

The entire body will be sparingly finished with plasters of various structures and shades, but still similar to the gray colors required by the local plan. The outer walls will be finished with darker plasters, while the roofs will be finished in white, which will emphasize them in the external reception. On the south-eastern side, the roofing of the ground floor will be connected to the terrace covering, which will result in additional elongation of the façade. Decorative LED linear lighting has been planned from the bottom, giving the building an additional villa character in the evening time.

The building shows that for a simple building in a reinforced concrete structure, it is possible to create an interesting external form, without complicated structural solutions.

The layout of the building has been divided into quarters. On the north-west side, there is an entrance part with a vestibule, a toilet and an office room. Above, at the north wall, a double garage and a boiler room with an exit to the garden are designed. The L-shaped living area perfectly suited the expectations of investors. The kitchen is hidden from the entrance, and the living room and dining room are located by the terrace on the south side.  A two-story space with glazing along the entire height of the facade has been planned above the dining room. Thanks to this, the light will fall deeper into the living room hidden in the middle, but will not shine directly onto the TV space. These solutions will contribute to the fact that the interior will have a large space with an impressive character.

Single-flight cantilever stairs lead to the first floor, which lead to a corridor, partially open to a two-story space. An additional work space has been planned on the mezzanine, from which it will be possible to admire the view of the garden. On the west side, large and comfortable rooms for children have been planned. On the north side, similarly to the layout of the ground floor, technical rooms - laundries, a dressing room and a bathroom are planned. The view of the garden will be additionally provided from the small master bedroom.
